Appointment - Cameroonian Romain Ekoto has been appointed Regional Director of the ICAO Office for West and Central Africa (WACAF).

Cameroonian Romain EKOTO (IENAC 99) has been appointed Regional Director of the ICAO office for West and Central Africa (WACAF), based in Dakar, to replace Prosper Zo'o Minto'o.

Selected from 78 applicants, he has over 20 years' experience in civil aviation, with key positions at the African Development Bank and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Romain Ekoto's mission will be to reinforce regulatory compliance, improve aviation safety and security, and support States in the application of international standards.One of his priorities will be to support national authorities in the certification of international airports.
