The AeroMAPS project

AeroMAPS is an academic project exploring the future of air transport.
This multi-disciplinary project, carried out at ISAE-SUPAERO and the Institut pour l'Aviation Durable, aims to develop dedicated modular and open-source tools. The main tool (also known as AeroMAPS) aims to simulate and evaluate prospective air transport scenarios in a multidisciplinary way. It can be used, for example, to study scenarios for reducing the impact of aviation on the climate through a range of action levers. It is intended to become a sector-specific integrated assessment model (IAM), taking into account technological, environmental, sociological and economic considerations, for example. It thus aims to assess the sustainability of transition scenarios for air transport on the basis of multiple criteria.
